Teleopthalmology/Retinal Screening

We are excited to introduce the Teleopthalmology Program to the Central Region. This program provides free retinal screening to people with diabetes in a community setting.
Retinopathy is a complication of diabetes and is the leading cause of blindness. Annual examination and retinal screening can prevent this from happening.

As of June 13th, we are screening clients at Vaughan Community Health Centre (Jane and Rutherford, Monday and Tuesday) and Black Creek Community Health centre (Yorkgate location, Jane and Finch, Wednesday to Friday). Physician or nurse practitioner referral required.
