The Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA), in conjunction with the Globe and Mail, has produced a special feature in recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month. The feature is full of news and information about diabetes in Canada. Today, Canadians across the country can pick up the Diabetes Awareness Month feature in the print edition of The Globe & Mail.
Within the feature, you will learn about the work being done by leading Canadian medical researchers into complications that arise from type 2 diabetes, details about the CDA’s Diabetes Charter for Canada, and challenges that parents with children living with type 1 diabetes have when trying to secure medical support for their children at school.
The feature also details the role awareness and early diagnosis have in preventing type 2 diabetes, success stories from Team Diabetes participants who promote a healthy lifestyle while fundraising for education and research, and positive experiences young people living with type 1 diabetes have had with the CDA’s D-camps program.
The print stories and additional content is available at specialfeature.diabetes.ca, which will be updated over the coming three months.
