Central CCAC Announces New CEO

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jo-anne Marr to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Central Community Care Access Centre effective August 5, 2014.

Jo-anne brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that makes her an ideal choice for this important leadership role. In her current role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, Jo-anne has been responsible for clinical and clinical support, support services, quality, safety and risk, as well as professional practice in her previous Chief Nursing Executive role. Prior to her current role, Jo-anne was Vice President, Programs and led a number of key initiatives including ER Wait Time, Clinical Service Planning, Utilization and Efficiency improvements, as well as the community engagement strategy. Jo-anne also served a term as Interim President and CEO of Mackenzie Health during which time she successfully led the hospital through considerable change and transformation.

Jo-anne brings extensive experience working in the healthcare sector in a number of administrative and nursing leadership positions, as well as healthcare consulting roles. Her experience spans public and private sectors, academic hospitals and community in a wide variety of roles. Jo-anne holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Business Administration and is a Certified Health Executive. She is also a prolific co-author of numerous publications for nursing and healthcare management journals on a wide variety of healthcare issues, as well as a book on healthcare management.
