Canada Cares: Nominate a Family Caregiver for the Canada Cares Family Caregiver Awards

Do you know a family or friend who deserves recognition for their caregiving activities? Canadian residents are being asked to nominate a caregiver for the Canada Cares Caregiver Awards.

Canada Cares supports and salutes caregivers of all kinds across the country.  The Awards will be presented at both a regional and national level and will recognize five exceptional caregivers who may be a family member, friend or a significant person in their care and select one to be the National Canada Cares Caregiver of the Year.

One additional award recipient will be selected from all the nominations (both professional and family/friend) to receive the Canada Cares One Wish Award, worth $10,000, sponsored by We Care Home Health Services.

Selection Process:

Nominations will be reviewed by a national committee of consumers and health professional organizations (Awards Committee) according to criteria found HERE. One nominee from each category will be awarded a Canada Cares Caregiver Award.

In addition to the essay or video submission, the Awards Committee will review the responses to Question #6 to determine the recipient of the Canada Cares One Wish Award.

Dates:

Nominations open April 5, 2014 and will be accepted until September 15, 2014 (11:59 pm).  Award winners will be announced November 2014
