Ontario Health Profile

The Ontario Health Profile is a new and innovative way of describing the health status of Ontarians focusing on key public health issues that have an impact on the whole of the population.

In a series of 10 infographics using current data and innovative visuals, the Ontario Health Profile presents an overview of the complex factors that influence and shape Ontario’s population health status.

The Ontario Health Profile expands our understanding of the health of Ontarians and equips decision-makers and practitioners with the information they need to take action. Additional products include supplementary data tables at the provincial and public health unit level and online interactive data visualizations with explanatory text (coming later in 2014).

The Ontario Health Profile focuses on ten topics:

  • Extreme weather
  • The first five years
  • Foodborne illness
  • Measles
  • Mental health
  • Obesity
  • Population health
  • Radon
  • Respiratory viruses
  • Road safety
