Service Description: Programs, support and empowering children, teens and young adults and their parents, educators and caregivers * volunteer run, not-for-profit resource center dedicated to providing information, educational material, products and emotional support to families, caregivers and educators

Clinical Services - stress/worries/anxieties including: workplace, career, family stress, relationships, attention, organization issues

Children/Youth/Teen Well-Being Including: life skills, school/university counselling, learning disabilities and developmental concerns

Additional Approaches/Therapeutic Modalities: Emotion Focused Family Therapy - EEFT, DBT, EFT, Brief Psychotherapy, Mindfulness based, Self-regulation facilitation & Education - The Shanker Method, Positive Behaviour Management - restorative practices

Online Literacy (reading) Program facilitated by FERN staff- units completed by students at home. Students require a FERN ID to access program * email for more information

Shanker Self-Reg® Course For Parents: Online videos, facilitated individual/group meetings @ FERN

For Youth and Adolescents:

The Mightier: one-on-one sessions @ FERN. Mightier allows participants to practice emotion calming skills during game play

Youth Group: an ongoing program for adolescents, teens who require support and a safe place to explore stress, coping and the brain/body. The group is interactive and fun, increasing social connections, belonging and relaxation

The Kind-Hearted Oak Program: an internship opportunity for youth
