Service Description: Adult day program provides a variety of mentally and physically stimulating activities in a secure environment * gives people an opportunity to socialize and offer caregivers support and respite * staff work closely with the clients and their families to ensure the goals are met * program includes:
  • light breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack
  • medication reminders
  • entertainment
  • arts and crafts
  • daily exercise program
  • baking
  • physical games such as bowling and bocce
  • programming to meet needs: Trivia, Scopa, and Rosary



Service Details - Adult Day Programs

Transportation: provided by York Regional Transit as a contracted service provider at a minimal cost to client

Nutrition: light breakfast, healthy lunch and nutritious snacks per day

Mobility Assistance: one person transfer for toileting. One person assistance for transportation between program areas

Incontinence: assessed by York Region Adult Day Program policy

Medication Management: medication cueing/reminders * medication must be brought in a pharmacy created blister pack and include only required medication for program hours with appropriate information labelled

Fees: $25.49 per day * subsidy available for eligible participants
