a large and growing green movement for Mental Health Week.

It’s confirmed that buildings and iconic landmarks in cities
such as Hamilton, Oakville, Burlington and Toronto will be lit green for the
65th annual Mental Health Week May 2 to 8.

Canadian Mental Health Association
(CMHA) branches urge more businesses and organizations across Ontario to partner
in this project. Visit www.greenformentalhealth.ca for more information and an
ongoing list of illuminated buildings.

Individuals can also take part by wearing green or taking
pictures near numerous landmarks illuminated green throughout the province and
sharing them on social media using the hashtag #GETLOUD.

For several years, CMHA Ontario has managed to secure lighting
of a few landmarks, including CN Tower and Niagara Falls. But this year’s
initiative has received a big boost from Ted Michaels, on-air personality and
host of the award-winning series, Wellness Wednesdays, on Hamilton radio station
AM900 CHML. With AM900 CHML leading the charge, Michaels’ has teamed up with the
Burlington Community Foundation (BCF) and CMHA branches in Hamilton and Halton.
Together, they’re getting more than 25 local landmarks lit green.
