Service Description: Project Lifesaver is a proactive response program for Vulnerable Persons who have Alzheimer's, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other related conditions and disorders associated with risk for elopement * This program is voluntary and available to residents of York Region, and participants who frequent York Region on a regular basis * Participants wear a wristband that emits a tracking signal.

Eligibility / Target Population: Living with a cognitive impairment, autism or another condition * be monitored by caregiver and resides in a non-secure facility * resides in York Region * not involved in unescorted activities that would increase the risk of wandering * not operate a motor vehicle

Language Notes: If you require communication support, like an American Sign Language interpreter, to participate in a York Regional Police event, please contact the organizer of the event ; 24 hrs/day, more than 100 languages
