Service Description:
|
Communication and hearing health support services which enables people with a hearing loss to carry out daily living activities independently, safely, and with reduced communication difficulties * virtual options available
Services include:
- home visits
- information and counselling on comprehension of hearing loss and managing difficult listening situations
- use, care and maintenance of hearing aids and other listening systems * selecting and using specialized communication equipment
- referrals to other community services
- education and training

Eligibility / Target Population:

Older adults 55 years and older who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, have cochlear implants * Young adults with other disabilities as well as a hearing loss
