Service Description:
|
Provides financial assistance to stabilize housing
Eligible Expenses- first and last month's rent
- rental arrears
- utility arrears
- utility security deposit
- utility reconnection fees
- moving costs
- assistance with mortgage payments or arrears
- compensation for urgent medical needs
- landlord and tenant mediation
Follow up services are provided two weeks, one month, three months and six months after receiving benefits

Call Access York for assessment
Access York staff will make an appointment with the service provider, Salvation Army Northridge Community Church who would issue funds and supports to eligible applicants

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
York Region residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who are not receiving benefits from Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program benefits
Financial assessment based on income and family size
