Service Description: Provides multidisciplinary services for children with autism and other exceptionalities, primarily occupational therapy and behavioural therapy

Occupational Therapy Services:
AIM's OT services help children develop competence with the activities and daily tasks of life. These includes:
  • self-care: dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility
  • productivity: school work including writing, manipulating tools and learning
  • leisure: playground activities, socializing, sports, art and religious practice

Speech Therapy: services aim to improve development language, social communication, articulation, motor speech, reading and writing, feeding, swallowing, emotional regulation, and support for concussion rehabilitation

Behaviour Therapy:
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach to understanding the relationship between behaviour and the environment. This approach is not specific to students with autism, but rather all types of behaviours

Behavioural Therapists use ABA to design treatments for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities * focus is on improving quality of life, especially in a social context * ABA principles are used to enhance communication, self-help and independence, play and leisure, social skills, and more

Vocational Training for Adult with ASD

Meetings: Offer free OT, ABA consultation and meet with parents/caregivers on a regular basis to discuss about client's goals and progress
Fees: OT: $150 per hour * SLP: $160 per hour * Behaviour Therapy (ABA/IBI): $70 per hour * Possible subsidy rate
Application: Appointment required * No cost consultation, call or book an appointment via our website
