Service Description:
|
Provides outpatient diagnosis, consultation and stepwise treatment for children, youth and adults suffering from mild to moderate eating disorders. Help provided to:
- eliminate or reduce symptoms of eating disorders
- develop coping strategies to manage the anxiety of this change
Work collaboratively with physicians and mental health professionals
Note: as eating disorders are associated with serious medical complications, patients who participate in the program must be assessed as medically stable by their family doctor
Services Offered:
- assessment and diagnosis
- family based treatment for children and adolescents
- psychoeducation and psychotherapy group intervention
- nutrition counselling and consultation
- limited individual sessions
- medical monitoring in collaboration with family physician
- psychiatric consultation services
