Service Description: Services available at the York Region Welcome Centres (Newmarket, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham North and Markham South) and Simcoe County through a mobile unit * AQIS is an information and accreditation planning service that advises internationally trained professionals and trades people on how to obtain professional recognition in Canada * guides you through the licensing and evaluation processes in your field (regulated and non-regulated) * assists you exploring alternative related careers * advises on how to use international qualifications and skills towards training and education * guides on the development of professional accreditation portfolios * answers questions such as: Am I qualified to work in my profession in Canada? What type of training/education do I need to enter my profession? How can I get my academic qualifications recognized? What are other alternative job options in my field? Can I fast track my goals?
