Service Description: Provides financial and employment support to people who are in financial need

1) Financial Support:
  • income support to help with the costs of basic needs, like food, clothing and shelter
  • persons eligible for Ontario Works are also eligible to receive health benefits
2) Employment Support:
  • workshops for resume writing, job hunting, and interview tips
  • referrals to job counselling or training programs
  • job opening's information
  • access to basic education

Eligibility / Target Population: Be in financial need; be willing to make reasonable efforts to find, prepare for and keep a job (unless you have specific circumstances that temporarily prevent you from doing so, such as an illness or caregiving responsibilities) * Other adult members of your household must also agree to participate in employment assistance activities
