Service Description: Adult day program * social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for adults with aphasia and related communication disorders in a group setting for part of the day * helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care

Service Details - Adult Service Programs

Transportation:
Provided by York Region Transit and is contracted as a service provider at a minimal cost to the client.

Nutrition: Two nutritious snacks per day. Catered lunch (hot and cold).

Mobility Assistance: One person transfer for toileting. One person assistance to transition between program areas.

Incontinence: Acceptable if manageable with one staff member. If assistance needed for bowel movements, it depends on frequency and time it takes for staff to clean and change.

Medication Management: Medication cueing. Clients bring daily medication in a blister pack.

Fees: $25.49 per day ($12.75 for half day) * subsidy available for eligible participants * additional fee for transportation
