Service Description: Adult day program provides a variety of mentally and physically stimulating activities in a secure environment * gives people an opportunity to socialize and offer caregivers support and respite * trained, professional staff work closely with the clients and their families to ensure goals are met

Program includes:
  • light breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack
  • medication reminders
  • entertainment
  • arts and crafts
  • daily exercise program
  • baking
  • computer activities
  • games and trivia
  • physical games such as bowling and bocce
  • care planning

Service Details:

Transportation: York Region Transit. Hand to Hand Transport, contracted service provider at minimal cost to client

Nutrition: Light breakfast, healthy lunch and nutritious snacks each day

Mobility Assistance: Minimal assistance, must be able to ambulate independently

Incontinence: Discharge from this program

Medication Management: Medication cueing/reminders * medication must be brought in a pharmacy created blister pack and include only required medication for program hours with appropriate information labelled

Fees: $25.49 per day * subsidy available for eligible participants
