Service Description: Offers a range of services for babies, children and adolescents, including neonatal services (intensive care unit and follow-up clinic), pediatric inpatient and outpatient services, and health and wellness clinic

  • Pediatrics/Gynecology Inpatient Unit * social worker provides supportive counselling and practical assistance in locating other resources in the hospital and in the community
  • Peel Behavioral Services * community service that offers functional behavioural assessments, individual behavioural programs, brief interventions, consultative assistance, educational sessions, groups and a resource library for children over the age of two and their families * contact 905-712-4124
  • Pediatric Sexual Assault Services * provides medical care for children under 12 years of age and psycho-educational counseling services for children and their families
  • pediatric surgery services * provides surgical procedures for children including tonsillectomies, ear tubes, hernia repairs, etc.

Other services:
  • Pediatrics Diabetes Program: interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, dietitians and social workers provides family-centered support and treatment for both individuals up to 18 years of age and their families dealing with a new diagnosis of childhood diabetes or existing diabetes * services include assessment and treatment of pediatric diabetes (type I and II), medical interventions, resource planning and support, nutrition counselling, diabetes management and education, insulin pump program, mental wellness and coping * contact 905-848-7653 or fax 905-804-7741
  • Child Life Specialist helps children and their families cope with stressful life events, particularly as they related to health care experiences * focus on the psychosocial and developmental needs of children, collaborating with families and other healthcare providers



  • Effective June 2020, Pediatric Outpatient Services (POPS) at Queensway Health Centre has been transitioned to community partners * for assessment, diagnosis or treatment of preschool children between 2 and 5 years of age, and live in Peel, Halton or Dufferin, contact ErinoakKids - Centre for Development and Treatment at 905-855-2690 ext 1
